So it looks like we have a minecraft server, so where is it going to be? Virtual or are we going to get a server box/farm?

Well I have used a server hoster called Kerplunc Gaming. I found their service to be extremely good and no down time. I used it with tekkit and it worked smoothly. I spent $10.00 a month but that was for only 5 players. They always give you a chance to get discounts and they even give you a free mumble server and a free website. If you don't want to use mumble then you can get %50 off of a teamspeak or ventrillo server. Just an idea!
